Last night I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to include images in my DotText posts. I was going to upload all of the posts I had entered previously in CityDesk. It was not easy.
DotText does have the nice feature that allows me to add posts directly on the web. CityDesk had a local application / database, and you had to publish your site to the web server. Because of that it is only possible to create posts on one machine. Now I can create posts from work if I want.
But uploading pictures is tough. I have to upload them separately and then create a link to them. I tried w.bloggar, which seems to have a mechanism for including pictures. I didn't figure out how to do it gracefully. I did upload a couple of prior posts with pictures. But it appears to be too much trouble for me to upload all of them, unless I learn how to do it more easily.
Also I am trying out a few skins, to see which one I want to settle on. I plan on picking one, then customizing it even more by adding an image or two to the heading. There's a lot to learn.
