A Dremel tool with new attachments from Christmas is handy, but it's not to be used on a nice trumpet if you don't know what you are doing! Now my horn is in the shop, and I don't know if they can fix it or not. Guess I'll have to pay a moron tax.
Tomorrow I am headed to Long Beach with fellow trumpeter Ron Goodwin to the IAJE jazz conference. It should be a blast -- lots of great players will be there. Also they have an exhibit hall -- maybe I will be looking at new trumpets.
