Pita Jungle Jam Session

The jazz last night at the Pita was pretty good.  I brought my trumpet and Flugel.  Only one other horn player showed up, and he only played two tunes, so I got to play quite a bit.  Here's what I played:

Killer Joe
But Not For Me
My Romance
Straight No Chaser
All Blues
Blue Bossa
Polka Dots and Moonbeams

I think I did ok, except I got my butt kicked on the Killer Joe bridge.  Also they played Polka Dots in A, and I am used to playing in F.  It took a couple of measures to get orientated, and again, the bridge killed me.  I need to work on those tunes.

Actually I have a whole list of tunes I want to work on.  I just need to get busy and practice.  My playing is getting better but I have a long, long way to go before I am where I want to be.  I'll keep working on it.
