I am not Catholic. However, I had respect for Pope John Paul II, and I just wanted to acknowledge that the world has lost a great man.
Pope John Paul II was a real moral leader. He did not waver or compromise in his convictions. He did not give in to those who would believe that the world is changing and therefore permitted moral actions should change too. He loved and promoted peace. He was compassionate, intelligent, active, and forthright. The world is a better place for him having been here.
My sympathy goes to my Catholic friends and others who followed him.
