Today I brought the Tempe PoolChlor office live on ArrowStorm Corp (my company)'s PoolCare Pro. It replaces an old DOS/Btrieve-based system my brother wrote about a dozen years ago. The Tucson office has been running with it for a couple of months now.
PoolCare Pro is a rich-client .Net application written in c#. We are using the MSDE (a free-runtime version of SQL Server) database engine, and Data Dynamics' ActiveReports. Far out, man.
We will be doing eight more installations over the next 2 or 3 months. Then this winter we will port to .Net 2005, show up at the pool service trade shows to find more customers, continue work on a web version, and do more enhancements.
Let the soaring begin.
