Well, as of today I am no longer on a salary. I sure hope I know what I am doing. No more paid vacation time. No more sick days. No more 401(k) matching. No more boss.
I have committed to working 3 days per week at MSI, at an hourly rate that pretty much breaks even with 3/5 of my former salary. I plan on only doing that for 1 month, after which I will start hiking the rate until I find their threshhold of pain.
We have a new office too. We are taking over the rent and the T-1 line at the place in Tempe where my internet server is co-located. We will be making enough from some other co-location customers and a few dialup customers to pay for a lot of the cost of the T-1 line. It is a small office -- only about 500 sq feet. But it's a start!
Now it's time to start trying to make a profit at ArrowStorm. It may take a few months. That's ok. Here we go!
