I guess there are worse things I could be binging on. I can't believe how much I have been reading. It's nuts!
My wife and Nathan (son #2) each bought a copy of Harry Potter right when it came out. After Nathan was done I borrowed his book. I was feeling left out of conversations. I couldn't stand it any longer. Yes! I admit it! I'm just weak! I couldn't help it! The temptation was just too strong. So I read it, all right? There, I said it. What more can I say.
It was actually pretty good -- I liked it better than the previous one (Order of the Phoenix). Except for the end. Things didn't really resolve themselves very well. There are some major dangling threads, and now we have to wait for a couple of years until the last book comes out. Plus I can't believe J.K. Rowling killed off ----- (well, I can't mention names, can I? For all I know you haven't read the book yet and I can't spoil it here). Also I can't believe who killed -----. Of all people -- I was pretty surpised. It gave me bad dreams for a couple of nights. Of course we all know what needs to happen in the last book. Unless J.K. has some more curve balls to throw at us. I hope not. I like closure.
C'mon, Ken, it's just a book! And now you're done for a while. Unless you can't leave “Shadow of the Hegemon” on the shelf until the end of September. And I'll bet you can't! You know you want to read it now, don't you? Arrgh!
