...and that's just about what it's worth

I'm still here

Holy Cow!  It's been over two months since I have posted anything.

I have thought about writing here, but I just haven't come up with what to say.  I think I am having an identify crisis with this blog.  Neopoleon.com sticks to mustly amusing ancecdotes and stories of his Microsoft job.  JoelOnSoftware.com is strictly about running a software development business.  I seem to go off on political tangents more than anything else.  But I would like to get more technical.  I just can't seem to get into it.

Maybe it's because the political stuff just gets me going.  Like the talks today at Mrs. Martin Luther King's funeral.  The Rev. Joseph Lowery just had to take swipes at president Bush in his speech.  And so did former president Carter.  That's total lack of class if you ask me.

And the rioting in the Muslim world over the editorial cartoons.  Yes, the cartoons were tasteless and inappropriate.  But the reaction certainly seems overblown to me.  Christians are taught to turn the other cheek, and love their enemy, etc.  Muslims claim that Jesus was a great teacher.  Hmmm.

Ok, enough of that.

So what's new?  I installed 10 PoolCarePro systems, but now that has dried up and I am working on other projects.  Credit card processing, Windows Mobile 5.0, Quickbooks interfacing.  We'll see where it takes us.  I hired Nathan, my son, to help with the development.  He is a student at DeVry and was working at Wal-Mart.  I figured, hey, I can pay him a little more then Wal-Mart and he'll be worth it to me.  So far so good!

I am keeping pretty busy but I am not making any money yet.  I am hoping that turns around -- I can only keep this up for so long.  I am totally enjoying it though.

That's it for now.  I'll try to post something else soon.  And I'll try to figure out what kind of blog this is.

P.S. MooDog & co-workers where are you?  I sent an email to hsi but I never got a response.  It's about time to do another lunch, dontcha think?
